Chapter 5: The Duel David challenged Misra Melik to a one-on-one fight. Misra Melik accepted, thinking he could easily defeat David. But David was quick and smart. He dodged Misra Melik’s attacks and struck back with precision. The clash of their swords echoed across the battlefield. Chapter 6: Victory After a fierce battle, David defeated Misra Melik. The enemy army was scared and ran away. David returned to Sassoun as a hero, and the people celebrated his victory with songs and dances. They were safe once again, thanks to David’s courage and strength.

The battle, which was won by the Union, is widely considered the Civil War's turning point, ending the Confederacy's aspirations to establish an independent nation. Yuēhàn found some information of the final battle and shared it with John Jr. The Battle of Palmito Ranch took place on May 12–13, 1865, near the Rio Grande in Cameron County, Texas.
