World War 2 was a huge war that happened between many countries around the world from 1939 to 1945, where two main groups, called the Allies and the Axis, fought against each other; the Allies included countries like the United States, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union, while the Axis included Germany, Italy, and Japan; during this war, many bad things happened, especially in Germany where a man named Hitler wanted to hurt people he considered different, which is called the Holocaust, and the war ended with the Allies defeating the Axis powers, saving many people from harm. 3.When an atomic bomb explodes, it creates a fireball, emits radiation and heat rays, and produces a violent blast. The blast is caused by the heated air expanding rapidly. The air pressure near the center of the blast drops suddenly, creating negative pressure. This causes the air to reverse direction, blowing back in toward the center with great force. The first atomic bomb was detonated in the United States in 1945 at a military test site in Alamogordo, New Mexico. Why did the British start taxing the colonists, and why did this make them mad? The British government made laws and taxes that affected the colonists. Many colonists felt proud to be British, but they believed they had rights that the king should protect. They didn't like the Stamp Act, which was a new tax. In Virginia, some leaders, called the House of Burgesses, said that the British Parliament shouldn’t be taxing them. In 1765, the prime minister of Britain was George Grenville. He created the Stamp Act because he needed money to pay for British soldiers in North America. He thought the colonists should help pay for these soldiers who were protecting them. At first, the British leaders were surprised by how upset the colonists were. Grenville did not listen to their complaints and was eventually replaced in 1766. A leader named George Washington fought in the French and Indian War along with the British. He helped lead soldiers against the French. He became a well-known leader and was even elected to help make laws in Virginia.
