John Jr and Hopsi was going to practice abstinence of something that habitual in their life for a week. They made a list of their habits and each decided on on thing. John Jr was going to give up his game boy and Hopsi was going to give up carrots. 4. John Jr and Hopsi decided they were also going change how they did stuff. Try to make some healthy habits. 4. John Jr and Hopsi planned on Exercising for 20 minutes every day for a week, Practicing an instrument for 30 minutes every day for a week ,Making your bed first thing every morning , Turning off TV by 7 PM for a week, Waiting until after dinner to eat dessert 5. John Jr and Hopsi tried to practice better self control in their lives

John Jr and Jade wanted more information about selflessness after reading the verse 1 Corinthians 13: "Selflessness is loving others, being patient and kind, and not being envious or rude." John Jr knew Jesus was showed selflessness. They knew that love Jrsus showed others sought nothing in return; he gave his time and energy freely to anyone who asked for it and plenty that didn't; he even humbled himself to the point of washing his friends' feet 2. John Jr and Jade thought of ways to be more selfless. They were going to try to Donate, Volunteer, Serve others: Compliment instead of criticize:, Empathize with others, and Practice active listening:. 3. John Jr and Jade reflected on the verse In Philippians 2:3-4 "Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others." The remembered Jesus teaching the principles of cultivating humility, putting love into action, serving others, actively listening, practicing empathy, giving freely, forgiving, praying for selflessness, and seeking accountability,. John Jr and Jade had a desire to be more like Jesus and started being more selfless in their lives.

Reese wagged his tail as they walked by the park, where Karmie played with her friends. 6.That night, her adults sat down with her. “Karmie,” they said, “we have some exciting news! We’re going to move to a new home soon.” Karmie felt her heart skip. 7. She held Reese's leash tightly as they walked to the moving truck. “I hope I like the new house,” she whispered to Reese. 8. When they arrived at the new house, Karmie took a deep breath and stepped inside. First, she saw her new bedroom. It was different, but still cozy, and her purple blanket was already on the bed. 9. In the new bathroom, her sparkly toothbrush was waiting by the sink, just like before. It was Chensan's first time entering the majestic shrine hall, and he was amazed. Under the light of the flames, the glittering wall paintings appeared one by one before his eyes. After the lantern lighting ceremony ended, Chensan and his family went to the Tianhou Temple to pay respects. On the way home, the moon hung high in the sky, bathing the ancient walled village in an unusually peaceful glow. For the first time, Chensan developed a deep fondness for the traditional culture of his hometown. As Chensan grew older, he began to learn more about the history and culture of Longxue Head. From the village head and other elders, he heard the origins of the walled village, shrine halls, and Tianhou Temple.
